Catching Up

I took a break from shopping - it was tiring and we don't need anything. But I did do a bit over the last week!

Some goodies at Meijer with their "buy 10 get the 11th free" except I wish they weren't out of pasta. We have almost used it all from the last Jewel deal. But I also bought Breakstone cottage cheese there and took my $5 cat to Dom's where I paid $.69 for this:

Dominick's Run

8 - $.50 e-coupons came off for soup/broth, plus a $1.10/3 IP (soup was $1.11 and broth $3.29). Eggs were $.99 with store q, Quaker $.99 w/store q, then $1/2 manq. Bought Clif bars as fillers to use my $5 cat!

Dominick's Paid Me!
I hit up Dom's for the crazy Aveeno/C&C deal.
Aveeno: $2.92
-$2 e-coupon
-$2 IP
C&C: $6.99
-$2 e-coupon
-$6.99 e-coupon
-$2 IP
for some overage! So I picked up 5 more Breakstone.

Meaning I spent $2.07 cash and earned a $5 cat. Sweet!

Today in the mail I got one of those digest sized Bisquick cookbooks you see at the checkout. Don't remember signing up?

I have also been busy crafting. Check out this lovely baby in the dress I crocheted:

A (rare) update

Hey y'all.

Sometimes I wonder what to blog here (and obviously not do anything about it) seeing as I have so many different groups of friends here on the internet. I could do the health/weight-loss thing, the knitting/crocheting/spinning thing, the church friends, the...everyone else.

So anyway, the CVS trips are continuing to go well, and Walgreens is looking pretty good for next month. We have a HUGE bag to take to Hesed House, and there are some things I don't think they have need for that I will drop off at Harvest. I like stocking up on things for myself (shampoo...I was definitely running low!) for FREE and getting more free stuff for others to use. Seriously, I spent cash to start-up at Walgreens, but at CVS I have spent $0 cash (using gift cards I got from transferring prescriptions) and received well over $500 in merchandise. It's crazy what they let you "get away with."

As for crafts, I crocheted this beautiful gift for a wee little baby girl who will be born next month. I can't share right now, so that the mommy doesn't see it! So excited. Just need to finish weaving ends and locate some buttons. Better hurry!

And next week I'm going up to Wisconsin for a fun few days of knitting and such..thanks to Elizabeth for planning it all...definitely looking forward to it since Matt will be out of town all week...*sniff* haha. party? Just me and the kitty, sitting at home. meow!

I also now joined Plurk. C'mon, see what it is HERE. I suppose it will be fun for a while and then I'll forget to check it. But then you lose Karma points. tricky!

Guess that's as much of an update as we need for now. Maybe I should do some actual work....

is this thing on?

yeah, yeah. i know i've been remiss in blogging. But life gets busy, y'know?

so without further ado, here's the sweater:

and here's Hush-Hush:

pausing on Hush-Hush in order to wear this sweater for Christmas. Problem is, I don't do ribbing. It always looks wonky and I don't like to do it. So any sugesstions for the bottom and cuffs? I'm not getting "Knitting Beyond the Edge" until Christmas, and I LOVE that book. Too bad I want to wear this before then, har har.

I also knit a man's beanie and gifted it to a friend, and crocheted two potholders. After this sweater, Hush-Hush and flowers need to be rushed! And y'all have to tell me how many flowers I'm getting since I only received two (Laura) and i know Ana and Ceci have a few.

That's all for now! hopefully more sooner than later.
